the fork lift

Forklift trucks have become an indispensable part of modern logistics because they enable heavy loads to be transported and handled quickly, safely and particularly flexibly.

A forklift is an industrial truck with its own drive that is operated and controlled by a driver. It has an adjustable mast with a fork carriage attached to the lower end. The forks that give the truck its name (two fork-like, parallel metal prongs, the spacing of which can be adapted to the respective loading equipment) or another attachment can be mounted on this. Forklifts are also known as front forklifts or lift mast trucks.

If you want to drive a forklift, you must first acquire a forklift license. Similar to the driver's license, two tests must be successfully completed: In the practical test, each participant must master various exercises in a 20-30 minute test drive, such as picking up and stacking pallets, driving forwards and backwards or using the forklift as quickly and safely as possible maneuver an obstacle course. The theoretical test usually consists of a multiple-choice test consisting of around 50 questions, each of which has several possible answers. All subject areas are queried, from work safety and technology to correct behavior on the forklift.

If you pay close attention during the training, you will usually successfully cope with the theoretical forklift exam without any problems, especially since a wrong answer does not automatically mean that the entire exam will not be passed. Nevertheless, many examinees are particularly afraid of the theory, often also because they do not know exactly what kind of questions are being asked there.
